The Trail Tech Generic ATV/UTV Digital Wheel Speed Sensor is a replacement and upgrade sensor designed to deliver accurate wheel speed and distance data to your Trail Tech digital gauge. It detects wheel rotation and transmits reliable speed and distance readings to systems such as Endurance II, Vapor, and Voyager.

Built as a universal-fit solution for most ATV and UTV models, this sensor serves as both a direct replacement and a fresh-start component for custom gauge installations. It is not compatible with OEM factory instrument clusters — it works exclusively with Trail Tech digital speedometers.

With a long, durable cable and robust construction, the sensor installs near the brake rotor where it detects a passing magnet once per wheel revolution, enabling precise speed tracking throughout your ride.

Installation & Operation

The sensor mounts to a stationary part of the wheel assembly — such as the brake caliper, rotor shield, or included mounting bracket — positioned approximately 1/2 inch from a magnet installed on the spinning brake rotor or wheel hub. Each time the magnet passes the sensor, a signal is sent to your gauge to calculate speed and accumulated distance.

Mounting methods vary by vehicle: drill and secure to the caliper, fasten to the rotor shield, or use the C-bracket approach. Detailed instructions are included to guide placement, alignment, and cable routing.
