Hexcore Lighting 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma 6" Amber & White LED Pod Lights (Above Hood) (Pair)

Maximizing trail visibility at high speeds requires dedicated auxiliary lighting positioned to eliminate dark spots and expand peripheral field-of-view. Precision-engineered specifically for the 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma platform, the Hexcore Lighting 6-Inch LED Pod Light Kit mounts seamlessly above the hood along the ditch lines, delivering maximum high-output illumination and side coverage in a full-size, long-range housing.

Featuring dual-color capability, these high-powered 6-inch pod lights allow you to seamlessly switch between a crisp white beam for maximum nighttime distance and clarity, or a high-penetration amber light to cut through thick dust clouds, silt, fog, and snow. The ditch-mount location above the hood casts light wide across trail edges, embankments, and deep into the trail ahead without reflecting glare back into the driver's eyes.

Encased in IP68/IP69K weatherproof die-cast aluminum housings with integrated heat sinks, these 6-inch pods are engineered to withstand severe engine vibration, heavy roost, high-pressure washing, and extreme off-road punishment on your Toyota Tacoma.

Features

• Dual-Color Beam Technology: Allows instant toggling between ultra-bright white for open trail illumination and dust-penetrating amber for low-visibility conditions.
• Vehicle-Specific Ditch Brackets: Custom-designed hood hinge brackets provide a clean, direct-fit installation on Toyota Tacoma models above the hood.
• Maximum-Output 6-Inch Optics: Engineered with large-diameter, high-efficiency reflectors to project light maximum distance down the trail while thoroughly saturating outer shoulders.
• Rugged Aluminum Construction: Powder-coated die-cast aluminum housing with heat-dissipating fins ensures maximum thermal management and impact resistance.
• IP68 / IP69K Waterproof Rating: Completely sealed against dust, mud, high-pressure washing, and total water immersion.
• Aggressive Full-Size Profile: Positions robust, long-range optics near the base of the windshield above the hood without obstructing driver visibility or wind deflector operation.

Design and Functionality

Mounting full-size 6-inch pods above the hood fills the critical lighting gap between factory headlights and overhead light bars, delivering maximum light output down the trail. Run the intense white mode during night trail runs to spot upcoming obstacles early, or switch to amber when riding through dense fog or desert dust to maintain forward awareness and ditch visibility.

Installation and Compatibility

Designed for straightforward bolt-on mounting using existing hood hinge attachment points on Toyota Tacoma (2016–2023) models. Interfaces cleanly with standard 12V DC systems, wiring harnesses, factory-style dash switches, or digital switch controllers like Switch-Pros and sPOD.

Why It Stands Out

Hexcore Lighting offers an ultimate lighting upgrade for 3rd Gen Tacoma builds, combining dual-color versatility, maximum 6-inch optical output, model-specific bracket fitment for above the hood, and extreme durability for high-performance off-road setups.
